Pastoral Support Assistant – Hounslow – September 2025 Start
Location: Hounslow, West London
Contract: September 2025 – July 2026 (Term-Time Only)
Pay: £444.00 per week (PAYE)
Interviews: June/July 2025
Are you a Psychology or Sociology graduate with a passion for mental health and wellbeing in secondary schools?
A high-achieving secondary school in Hounslow is looking for a Pastoral Support Assistant to join their dedicated pastoral care team from September. This Pastoral Support Assistant role is ideal for graduates with experience supporting young people’s mental health or who hope to pursue a career in educational or clinical psychology.
As a Pastoral Support Assistant, you’ll work with pupils aged 11–16 who may be experiencing social, emotional or behavioural difficulties. You will support students through 1:1 sessions, group wellbeing activities, and assist with safeguarding referrals and intervention planning.

- Strong interpersonal skills and a calm, supportive nature
- A clear commitment to student wellbeing
- An interest in mental health, SEND or social work
