Are you a graduate with a minimum 2:1 degree looking to gain SEN and behaviour experience in a primary school setting? We are recruiting multiple Primary Teaching Assistant – Islington roles across inclusive schools, where you will support pupils with autism (ASC), ADHD and SEMH needs.
As a Primary Teaching Assistant – Islington, you will work one-to-one with pupils, provide small group support, and implement strategies set by the SENCO and class teacher. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates aspiring to careers in educational psychology, child development, clinical psychology, teaching, or therapy.
What We Offer for a Primary Teaching Assistant – Islington: £95–105 per day (PAYE), supportive and inclusive primary schools, behaviour and SEN-specific training, hands-on experience with autism, ADHD and SEMH pupils, and clear progression into teacher training, psychology or therapy routes.
What We’re Looking For in a Primary Teaching Assistant – Islington: Graduate with a 2:1 degree (Psychology, Education or related preferred), previous experience with children or young people (youth work, tutoring, volunteering or mentoring all valued), patience, resilience and strong communication skills, plus a genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs.
The Primary Teaching Assistant – Islington role will see you helping children regulate their emotions, encouraging positive behaviour, and giving targeted academic and social support.
