Psychology Graduate Learning Support Assistant | Central London | September 2025 Start

Are you a recent Psychology Graduate eager to gain meaningful, hands-on experience working with young learners who have additional needs?

A highly regarded Boys’ Middle School in Central London are seeking 5 x Learning Support Assistants to join their team from September 2025 through to July 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates looking to pursue careers in psychology, education, or therapy, while making a real difference in the lives of students aged 11–13.

About the Role | Psychology Graduate Learning Support Assistant
  • Provide in-class support, helping pupils stay focused, adapting learning materials, and supporting skills development
  • Deliver 1:1 interventions, including pre-teaching, homework support and social skills development
  • Offer pastoral support for pupils with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including SEND documentation and staff timetabling
  • Support students with a range of needs including Dyslexia, Autism, ADHD and Global Developmental Delay
  • Play a role in wider school life, such as assemblies and extracurricular activities
What We’re Looking For
  • A recent Psychology Graduate with a strong academic background (2:1 or above preferred)
  • Genuine patience, empathy and resilience when working with young people facing challenges
  • Enthusiasm for supporting students with additional needs, particularly SEMH
  • A willingness to engage in ongoing training and professional development
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and support staff
Role Details:
  • Start date: September 2025
  • End date: July 2026
  • Salary: £107.59 per day (PAYE, inclusive of holiday pay)
