Location: Richmond
Salary: £34,514 – £51,179 (MPS/UPS – Outer London)
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Start Date: September 2026 (or earlier if available)

 

A welcoming and high-performing secondary school in Richmond is seeking a dedicated and reflective RE Teacher to join its Humanities faculty. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire students to explore different beliefs, values, and cultures in a supportive and inclusive environment.

  Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging RE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Teach a broad curriculum including world religions, ethics, and philosophy (KS5 available for suitable candidates)

  • Encourage critical thinking, discussion, and respect for diverse perspectives

  • Assess and monitor student progress effectively

  • Contribute to whole-school ethos and enrichment opportunities

  Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Degree in Religious Education, Theology, Philosophy, or a related subject

  • Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for RE

  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills

  • Commitment to promoting inclusivity and respect

  Desirable
  • Experience teaching GCSE and/or A-Level Religious Studies

  • Ability to contribute to PSHE or Citizenship

  • Interest in leading extracurricular activities such as debate or philosophy clubs
