Learning Support Assistant (Science – Chemistry & Physics) – Kensington & Chelsea – Immediate Start!
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Graduate to join a successful and forward-thinking sixth form college in Kensington & Chelsea as a Learning Support Assistant specialising in Chemistry and Physics. This full-time, immediate-start position is ideal for a graduate who is passionate about science and eager to support the next generation of STEM learners within a dynamic educational setting.
In this role, you will provide targeted academic, classroom and pastoral support to students studying A-Level Science and Level 3 Applied Science pathways, focusing particularly on Chemistry and Physics. Working alongside experienced subject teachers, you will help students grasp complex theoretical ideas, develop essential practical skills and build confidence in both independent and group learning environments. Your strong scientific background will allow you to break down challenging content, guide students through laboratory tasks and support them with coursework, revision and exam preparation.
You will also play a key role in promoting positive learning habits, encouraging resilience and supporting students who may have additional educational needs. As part of this position, basic IT skills are required, as you may assist learners with digital platforms, online resources, data presentation, research tasks and the formatting or submission of assignments.
