Science Technician – Haringey – September 2025 Start

Science Technician – What the Role Involves
  • Preparing, maintaining and organising equipment and materials for Science lessons
  • Supporting teachers in the delivery of engaging and practical experiments
  • Ensuring that laboratories are safe, clean and fully compliant with health and safety requirements
  • Assisting with demonstrations, practical set-ups and small-group support when needed
  • Helping track stock, order resources and contribute to the efficient running of the Science department
 
Science Technician – What the School is Looking For
The ideal candidate will hold a 2:1 or First-Class degree from a top 30 UK university, ideally in a Science-related subject. Schools value proactive, compassionate and committed individuals with strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Previous child-centred experience is beneficial. Please note, applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK, as we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position.
 
Science Technician – Salary and Contract Info
  • Salary: £444 per week, pro rata, term-time only
  • Contract: Full-time, long-term (September–July), term-time only
  • Prospect: Potential for future teacher training or contract extension following a successful placement
