Science Technician – What the Role Involves
- Preparing, maintaining, and organising laboratory equipment and materials for Biology, Chemistry, and Physics lessons
- Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed, including correct storage and handling of chemicals and equipment
- Supporting teachers during practical experiments, setting up demonstrations, and clearing down after lessons
- Monitoring and ordering stock, maintaining inventory, and ensuring all lab spaces are clean, safe, and ready for lessons
- Assisting with practical work preparation, demonstrations, and enabling students to engage fully in lab-based learning
