SEN Teaching Assistant - Psychology Graduate (Ideal for Aspiring Therapists or Psychologists)
📍 Location: Barnet, North London
📅 Contract: September 2025 – July 2026 (Term-Time Only)
💰 Pay: £105.00 per day (PAYE)

Are you a Psychology graduate with a passion for supporting young people with special educational needs? Looking to gain practical experience in a school before pursuing a career in mental health, education, or therapy?
We are recruiting for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and well-resourced boys’ secondary school in Barnet, supporting students aged 14–18 with Autism, ADHD, and a range of additional learning needs.
In this role, you’ll work closely with students across GCSE and A-Level stages, providing both in-class and 1:1 support to ensure each student can engage with the curriculum and develop confidence in their learning. You’ll play a crucial role in promoting inclusion, emotional regulation, and academic progress.
You’ll join a highly experienced SEND team, including other psychology graduates and a qualified SENCo with a therapeutic background, who will offer structured guidance and mentorship throughout the academic year.
