Role Responsibilities

• Lead and develop SEND provision across the school as SENCo
• Oversee EHCPs, provision mapping and interventions in your SENCo role
• Work closely with teaching staff to ensure high-quality, inclusive classroom practice
• Liaise effectively with parents, external agencies and local authorities
• Use data to monitor progress and outcomes for pupils with SEND in Braintree, Essex

Person Specification

• Qualified teacher with the National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to complete)
• Strong understanding of SEND legislation, statutory guidance and best practice
• Experience supporting pupils with a range of additional needs
• Organised, proactive and confident in leading whole-school SEND strategy
• Passionate about inclusion and ready to take on the responsibility of the SENCo position in Braintree, Essex
