SEND Teaching Assistant (Complex Needs & SEMH) – Job Summary
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students who have a range of Special Educational Needs, particularly those with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties.
You will support pupils both in small groups and on a one-to-one basis within the classroom. Key responsibilities include:

This role is well suited to aspiring SEN Teachers, Educational Psychologists or Clinical Psychologists.
SEND Teaching Assistant (Complex Needs & SEMH) – Job Requirements
- A minimum of a 2:1 degree from a UK university.
- Prior experience working with children or young people, particularly those with SEN or SEMH needs, is desirable.
- A strong commitment to pupil welfare and development.
