The Role | SENDCo:
- Lead and develop SEND provision across the school, ensuring statutory compliance and best practice.
- Support teaching staff in planning, adapting, and delivering targeted interventions for pupils with SEN.
- Monitor and assess the progress of pupils with additional needs, including those with EHCPs.
- Collaborate with parents, external agencies, and the senior leadership team to support pupils’ holistic development.
- Contribute to whole-school initiatives, ensuring inclusion is central to teaching and learning.
- A welcoming and inclusive school community that values SEND expertise.
- Excellent resources and dedicated spaces for SEND learning.
- Ongoing professional development and clear career progression.
- Supportive leadership and mentorship for experienced SEN practitioners.
- Qualified Teacher (UK QTS) with NASENDCo accreditation (essential).
- Experience leading SEN provision in a primary setting.
- Knowledge of SEN strategies, differentiation, and statutory frameworks.
- Collaborative approach, strong communication skills, and commitment to inclusive education.
