The Role – SENDCo
As SENDCo, you will:
- Lead and manage SEND provision across Early Years, KS1 and KS2 as SENDCo
- Ensure pupils with SEND access the full curriculum through adaptive teaching
- Oversee identification, assessment and provision mapping as SENDCo
- Manage EHCP processes and maintain compliance
- Work closely with families, external agencies and senior leaders to strengthen outcomes
The ideal SENDCo will have:
- QTS and the NASENCo qualification (or willingness to complete)
- Proven impact as a SENDCo or in a senior inclusion role
- Experience leading staff training and coaching colleagues
- Strong organisational and analytical skills
- High expectations for behaviour, attendance and academic standards
- Commitment to inclusive practice across the school
