Sixth Form Academic Mentor – Greenwich - INDHOT

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with Sixth Form students, supporting study skills, attendance, UCAS applications, and post-18 pathways within a structured and ambitious school environment.
Key Details | Sixth Form Academic Mentor
- Sixth Form Academic Mentor (Full-Time, Contract)
- Immediate start
- 36 hours per week, term-time
- Initial contract from April to August
As a Sixth Form Academic Mentor, you will:
- Support students in developing effective study habits, independent learning, and time management
- Mentor students and supervise structured private study sessions
- Provide guidance on UCAS applications, personal statements, and post-18 pathways
- Liaise with parents, staff, and external providers to support academic progress and wellbeing
- Contribute to enrichment opportunities, including EPQ support and work experience coordination
- Support students at risk of disengagement, ensuring they remain focused and on track
- Graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in any subject from a Top UK university
- Prior experience working with Sixth Form students, careers guidance, or KS5 student support
- Confident in delivering both academic mentoring and pastoral support
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Work within a high-performing Sixth Form with a clear focus on progression and outcomes
- Gain direct experience supporting UCAS, careers education, and post-18 guidance
- Be part of a structured and well-resourced setting with strong leadership and clear expectations
- Develop experience across both academic mentoring and wider pastoral provision
