A supportive primary school in Brent, NW10 is seeking an Aspiring Educational Psychologist to work as a Teaching Assistant, supporting pupils with additional learning needs across the classroom and in targeted interventions.
Aspiring Educational Psychologist – The Role
- Work 1:1 and in small groups with pupils who require additional academic or emotional support
- Support children with SEND, SEMH and behavioural needs
- Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
- Build strong, professional relationships with pupils to support progress and engagement
- Gain first-hand experience working alongside SENCOs, teachers and external professionals
- A graduate with a Psychology or related degree
- Clear ambition to progress into Educational Psychology, SEN or Child Psychology
- Patient, resilient and confident working with children who need additional support
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable
- Able to commit for the full academic year
- Valuable experience ahead of Educational Psychology training or a Master’s degree
- Long-term, full-time position in a well-supported school environment
- Competitive daily rate paid weekly via PAYE
