Chemistry Teacher | Lewisham | September Start
Are you a Chemistry Teacher looking for a new role from September?
A well-regarded secondary school in Lewisham is seeking a committed Chemistry Teacher to join their Science department from September. This role would suit an ECT or an experienced teacher who enjoys delivering clear, structured lessons and helping pupils develop a strong understanding of chemical principles.
You will be teaching Chemistry across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to teach A-Level for a suitably experienced candidate. The department is organised and supportive, with a clear focus on subject knowledge, practical work and exam preparation.
Chemistry Teacher – Key Responsibilities:
• Teach Chemistry across KS3–KS4 (KS5 available for the right candidate)
• Plan and deliver practical and theory-based lessons
• Prepare pupils for GCSE and A-Level examinations
• Contribute to curriculum planning and assessment
• Support pupils of varying abilities to achieve secure outcomes
Person Specification:
• QTS and a degree in Chemistry or a related subject
• Strong subject knowledge and confident classroom practice
• Able to deliver safe and well-structured practical lessons
• Clear and consistent approach to behaviour management
