Salary: £440 - £500 PW

Are you passionate about supporting children’s emotional wellbeing and helping them thrive academically and socially? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) with Support Staff Duties to join our caring and inclusive school community.

Emotional Literacy Support Assistant | About the Role

• Use your ELSA training to help children understand and regulate their emotions, develop resilience, and build positive relationships.
• Work alongside teachers to prepare resources, organise the classroom, and support the learning and progress of all pupils.
• Deliver individual and small-group emotional literacy sessions, promoting self-esteem and coping skills for children facing mental challenges.

Emotional Literacy Support Assistant | Key Responsibilities

• Promote and safeguard the welfare of all pupils in line with our Safeguarding, Behaviour, and SEND Policies.
• Plan, deliver, and evaluate tailored ELSA support programmes for individuals and small groups.
• Assist in preparing specialist resources and adapting the learning environment to meet pupils’ needs.

Emotional Literacy Support Assistant | Who We’re Looking For

• Empathetic, patient, and dedicated to nurturing children’s wellbeing and learning.
• Trained or willing to train as an ELSA and committed to attending ongoing supervision.
• Hold a degree in a relevant subject e.g. Psychology or Education studies
