Location: Hounslow, West London
Contract: September 2025 – July 2026 (Term-Time Only)
Pay: £444.00 per week (PAYE)

Are you an English graduate wanting to support literacy development in a vibrant school setting?

 
A secondary school in Hounslow is recruiting an English Graduate Literacy Support Assistant to help pupils across KS3 and KS4 improve their reading and writing skills. You’ll be part of a committed English department that values student progress and creative learning.

 
As an English Graduate Literacy Support Assistant, you’ll lead small group literacy sessions, support reading comprehension and help pupils build writing confidence. The school provides a positive and inclusive learning environment.

 
Key responsibilities:

• Delivering literacy interventions for pupils needing extra support
• Assisting teachers with classroom activities and resources
• Encouraging pupils to develop their vocabulary, grammar and writing skills
• Monitoring pupil progress and reporting to teachers

 
We’re looking for:

• A 2:1 or above in English or a related subject
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A passion for helping young people succeed
• Commitment to working from September 2025 to July 2026

 
Please note: Applicants must hold a UK undergraduate degree. We cannot accept overseas degrees (even with a UK Master’s). Sponsorship is not available.
