Head of Nursery | Kensington and Chelsea

An exceptional independent preparatory school in Central London is seeking an ambitious Head of Nursery to lead and develop its Early Years provision for children aged 2–4. This Head of Nursery opportunity comes at an exciting stage in the school’s development, with continued investment into Early Years facilities and learning environments.

The successful Head of Nursery will lead a talented team of Early Years practitioners, ensuring the Nursery delivers outstanding teaching, care and learning experiences. This Head of Nursery role combines strategic leadership with hands-on involvement in teaching and learning.

The ideal Head of Nursery will have:

  • QTS or an equivalent Early Years qualification

  • Significant EYFS experience with children aged 2–4

  • Secure knowledge of the EYFS framework

  • Experience leading or coordinating within an Early Years setting

  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
