Humanities Academic Mentor – Humanities Support Role
Location: Greenwich, South East London
Contract: September 2025 – July 2026 (Term-Time Only)
Are you a Humanities graduate looking to gain experience in education?
A well-regarded secondary school in Greenwich is seeking a Humanities Academic Mentor to support students across the Humanities department, including History, Geography, and Social Studies.
As a Humanities Academic Mentor, you’ll work with pupils in KS3 to KS5, providing classroom assistance, subject-specific intervention, and academic mentoring. You’ll also support learners with SEN, helping to remove barriers to learning and promote engagement in Humanities subjects.

- Providing in-class support in Humanities lessons, including History, Geography, and Social Studies
- Running 1:1 and group interventions for underachieving students
- Assisting with lesson resources, planning, and marking
- Supporting students with SEND or EAL backgrounds
We’re looking for:
- A 2:1 or First-Class degree in Humanities or a related field
- A genuine interest in education and inspiring young learners in Humanities subjects
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
- Commitment from September 2025 to July 2026
