Job description

Learning Support Assistant – Enfield – September 2025

This is a primary school in the Enfield area rated Good by Ofsted, committed to a caring, inclusive and high-aspiring education for every child. Learning Support Assistant – What the Role Involves
  • Supporting teaching and learning in classrooms: assisting the teacher in whole class and small group activities
  • Delivering interventions for identified pupils to help close learning gaps or support SEN needs
  • Assisting with classroom management to maintain focus, engagement, and safe learning environments
  • Working alongside the school’s SEN provision in mainstream or resource provision settings, possibly 1:1 or small group support
 
Learning Support Assistant – What the School is Looking For


We are seeking proactive, compassionate and committed individuals with strong communication skills and a willingness to learn. Previous child-centred experience is valuable. You should hold a 2:1 or First-Class degree from a top 30 UK university. Please note, applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK, as we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position.

  • £444 per week, pro rata; term-time only (General TA / SEN TA roles)
  • Contract: Full-time, long-term (September–July), term-time only
  • Potential for future teacher training or extended contracts following a successful placement
