Maths Trainee Teacher – Secondary – Enfield – September 2025 Start

Are you an ambitious graduate with a passion for Maths and a desire to train as a teacher in a supportive, forward-thinking school?

We’re working with a high-performing Enfield secondary school to recruit a Maths Trainee Teacher to start in September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to earn while you train, gaining hands-on experience in a thriving and inclusive learning community.

About the School
This "Good" Enfield secondary school is built on the values of ambition, determination and respect. With a curriculum rooted in knowledge, creativity and character development, the school aims to equip students not only with strong academic foundations but also with the confidence and resilience to succeed in life. The Maths department is a real strength within the school, supported by experienced mentors, robust schemes of work and an enthusiasm for innovation and mastery-based learning.

What the School Offers
  • A salaried teacher training programme in partnership with an established ITT provider
  • Weekly mentoring from experienced Maths specialists
  • Excellent CPD and progression pathways, with opportunities for further study
  • A strong focus on staff wellbeing, workload balance and collaborative planning
  • Access to a well-resourced Maths department and modern teaching facilities

What the Role Involves
As a Maths Trainee Teacher, you will gradually take on teaching responsibilities across Key Stages 3 and 4, with structured training and coaching to support your professional development. You’ll contribute to planning, assessment and student engagement while working towards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) by the end of the academic year.

What the School is Looking For
This role would suit a Maths graduate (or a closely related degree subject) with a strong academic background and a genuine interest in education. You should be enthusiastic, reflective, and committed to helping every student enjoy and succeed in Maths. Previous experience working with young people, while not essential, would be beneficial.

Salary and Contract Info
This salaried teacher training position follows the Unqualified Teacher Pay Scale (£24,415–£35,954 Inner London) and is full-time, term-time only. The role begins in September 2025 and runs for one academic year, with a view to a permanent teaching role upon successful completion.
