SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant – Cambridge – September 2025 Start
Location: Cambridge
Contract: September 2025 – July 2026 (Term-Time Only)
Pay: £444.00 per week (PAYE)
Interviews: End of August / 1st Week of September 2025

A supportive secondary school in Cambridge is hiring an SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant to work with pupils who have EHCPs and additional learning needs. As an SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with students who need extra help in class and during targeted interventions.
This SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant role is perfect for graduates interested in Educational Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, or SEND teaching.
Key responsibilities:
You must hold a current DBS (on the update service) or be willing to undertake one.

- Providing 1:1 support to pupils with EHCPs or learning needs
- Supporting academic progress and emotional wellbeing
- Assisting teachers with differentiation and classroom routines
- Leading small group catch-up or sensory-based activities
- A 2:1 or above in Psychology, Education or a related subject
- Previous experience with SEN or additional needs (voluntary or paid)
- Strong empathy, patience and resilience
- Full-time availability from September 2025 to July 2026
