As a SEND Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing focused 1:1 support to a student with ADHD, helping them stay engaged and on track with their learning in a classroom setting.
- Implementing tailored strategies to manage attention, behaviour, and emotional regulation, ensuring the student can fully participate in school activities.
- Working closely with teachers, the SEN team, and parents to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) that address the student's unique needs.
- Monitoring the student's progress, adjusting support as necessary, and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Supporting the development of the student's social skills and self-confidence, helping them build positive relationships with peers and staff.
- Experience working with children with ADHD or a related interest in supporting students with behavioural and attention difficulties.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with the student and collaborate effectively with staff and parents.
- Patience, empathy, and a commitment to helping the student overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.
