Behaviour Academic Mentor – Wandsworth – September 2025 Start
Location: Wandsworth, South West London
Contract: September 2025 – July 2026 (Term-Time Only)
Pay: £444 per week (PAYE)
Interviews: June/July 2025
Are you a graduate interested in behaviour support and pupil wellbeing?
A high-achieving secondary school in Wandsworth is looking for a Behaviour Academic Mentor to support pupils with behaviour and emotional needs from September 2025. As a Behaviour Academic Mentor, you will provide in-class and one-to-one support to students with SEMH needs, helping them stay on track in lessons and engage positively with school life.
The Behaviour Academic Mentor will work closely with the SENCO and pastoral team to deliver tailored interventions. This Behaviour Academic Mentor role is ideal for someone interested in psychology, social work or youth mentoring.
Key responsibilities:
• Supporting students with behavioural or emotional needs
• Leading mentoring sessions and building pupil confidence
• Working with teaching and pastoral staff to implement support plans
• Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
We’re looking for:
• A 2:1 or above in Psychology or a related subject from a UK university
• Patience, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills
• A calm and consistent approach to behaviour support
• A full-time commitment until July 2026
Please note: This role is only open to applicants with a UK undergraduate degree. We cannot consider overseas degrees, even with a UK Master’s. Sponsorship is not available, so applicants must have UK citizenship or the right to work via settled status.
