Science Academic Mentor – Immediate Start

Haringey | £500–£550 per week | Term-time only
 
Are you a Science graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in education before pursuing teacher training, postgraduate study, or a future career in healthcare, research or academia?
A high-achieving sixth form in Haringey is seeking a passionate and driven Graduate to join their team as a Science Academic Mentor. This is a fantastic opportunity to support ambitious A-Level students, many of whom are aiming for top Russell Group universities including Oxbridge.
 
Science Academic Mentor | The Role
  • Deliver one-to-one and small group support in Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics to raise attainment.
  • Provide mentoring around study skills, time management and academic confidence.
  • Support students with university applications, personal statements and interview prep.
  • Work closely with teaching and pastoral staff to ensure students make strong progress.
  • Gain valuable classroom and mentoring experience in a dynamic, high-performing sixth form.
 
Science Academic Mentor | About You
  • A recent Science graduate from a top 25 UK University (Biology, Chemistry, Physics or a related subject).
  • Passionate about education, social mobility and supporting young people.
  • A confident communicator, able to inspire and motivate sixth form students.
  • Interested in exploring a career in teaching, academia, medicine or related fields.
  • Previous child-centred experience is a great bonus.
