STEM Academic Mentor - What the Role Involves
  • Providing targeted support in STEM subjects through small group interventions and one-to-one sessions

  • Tracking student progress and feeding back to teaching staff
  • Supporting classroom learning and reinforcing subject knowledge
  • Helping to maintain high standards of behaviour and engagement across lessons

STEM Academic Mentor - What the School is Looking For
The ideal STEM Academic Mentor will be a graduate with a 2:1 or First Class degree from a top 30 UK university. Previous child-centred experience is valuable, but above all schools are looking for proactive, compassionate and committed individuals. Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn are essential, along with the drive to make a real difference to pupils’ academic progress. Please note, applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK, as we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position.
 
STEM Academic Mentor - Salary and Contract Info
  • £450–£530 per week, pro rata to term time only
  • Contract: Full-time, long-term (September–July), term-time only
  • Potential for future teacher training or extended contracts following a successful placement
