We are working with a highly successful school in Hull that is looking to appoint a talented Design and Technology Teacher for September 2025.

You will plan and deliver engaging lessons, monitor student progress, and contribute to the wider school community as a form tutor. The school places a strong focus on ensuring staff wellbeing, with policies that reduce workload and help teachers focus on what they do best: teaching.

The ideal DT Teacher will:

  • Hold QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant degree.
  • Have experience teaching at secondary level (including teaching practice).
  • Be committed to high expectations for all students.
  • Be skilled in lesson planning, resource development, and assessment.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Why Join This School?

  • High-performing Secondary School with impressive GCSE results.
  • Comprehensive professional development to support career growth.
  • Centrally managed behaviour systems allow teachers to focus on teaching.
  • Modern facilities and a welcoming staff community.
  • A strong focus on staff wellbeing, with clear policies to support work-life balance.
  • Located in Hull, with excellent transport links and on-site parking.

The successful candidate will work in a supportive environment where collaboration is encouraged. Teachers are given the autonomy to design creative and engaging lessons, while benefiting from the guidance of experienced colleagues and a strong leadership team. The school also offers a clear behaviour system that allows teachers to focus their energy on high-quality teaching.

In addition to classroom responsibilities, you will have opportunities to contribute to extra-curricular activities, inspiring students beyond the curriculum and encouraging their personal growth. Whether your passion lies in design clubs, engineering projects, or mentoring students, you’ll have the chance to make a meaningful impact.
