English Academic Mentor – What the School Offers

English Academic Mentor – What the Role Involves

• Leading small group and 1:1 English sessions to boost reading, writing and analysis skills
• Supporting students across Key Stages 3 and 4 in English Literature and Language
• Helping to plan and deliver engaging intervention lessons
• Assisting with exam preparation and progress tracking
• Building relationships with students to boost confidence and motivation

 

English Academic Mentor – What the School is Looking For

• You should hold a 2:1 or 1st Class degree in English (or a closely related subject) from a top university. Strong communication skills, a passion for English Education, and a genuine interest in working with young people are essential.
• Previous experience working with secondary-aged students or in education is desirable.
• Please note, applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK, as we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position.

 

English Academic Mentor – Salary and Contract Info

• £444 - £525 per week, pro rata to term time only
• Full-time, long-term contract (September–July), term-time only
• Ideal for Graduates pursuing a career in teaching
