SEMH Inclusion Coordinator - Bexley - April 2026

A Primary School with the borough's first Primary SEMH Provision in Bexley is seeking a committed SEMH Inclusion Coordinator to play a pivotal role in supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs.
This is a varied and rewarding position, working closely with families, staff and external agencies to ensure every child can access education and feel a true sense of belonging.
The Role | SEMH Inclusion Coordinator
Location: Bexley
Hours: 36 hours per week
Contract: Term Time plus 1 week

The Role | SEMH Inclusion Coordinator
- Lead on administration for the specialist resource provision, including admissions and annual reviews.
- Maintain pupil records, coordinate referrals and manage external specialist involvement.
- Support pupils with SEMH needs through targeted interventions and restorative approaches.
- Work closely with families, including home visits where appropriate, to improve engagement and attendance.
- Monitor attendance and behaviour data, identifying trends and implementing intervention strategies.
- Represent the school at safeguarding and multi-agency meetings.
- Liaise with external services including Early Help, CAMHS and Children’s Social Care.
- Support effective transition and reintegration for vulnerable pupils.
- Experience working with young people and families, ideally within education or a similar setting.
- Strong understanding of SEND, safeguarding and behaviour management.
- Confidence engaging hard-to-reach families and external professionals.
- Excellent organisational, written and verbal communication skills.
- Calm, resilient and solution-focused approach.
- Ability to analyse data and use it to inform intervention strategies.
- Commitment to inclusion and high expectations for all pupils.
