Ribbon & Reeves are seeking to appoint an inspiring Head of MFL to lead and develop our Modern Foreign Languages department for our client Secondary School.

The school are looking for a Head of MFL who can bring energy, creativity and clear direction to the department. The successful Head of MFL will play a key role in developing the curriculum, supporting colleagues and ensuring students achieve their full potential in languages.

The Role | Head of MFL - The Head of MFL will:

• Lead and manage the Modern Foreign Languages department, providing clear vision and direction to ensure high standards of teaching and learning
• Develop and implement an engaging and ambitious languages curriculum across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
• Monitor student progress and attainment in languages, using data effectively to support improvement and raise achievement
• Support, mentor and develop colleagues within the department, promoting collaboration and professional growth
• Promote a love of French and Spanish to students to adopt
• Contribute to the wider leadership of the school by supporting whole-school initiatives and improvement priorities

 
We Are Looking for a Head of MFL Who:

• Has excellent subject knowledge (French & Spanish) and a passion for Modern Foreign Languages
• Has a strong track record of delivering high-quality teaching and positive student outcomes
• Can lead and motivate a team while supporting colleagues to develop their practice
• Has high expectations for students and is committed to inclusive and engaging teaching
• Is enthusiastic about promoting the value of languages and learning within the school community
