Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) | Bromley | January Start

A friendly Primary School in Bromley is seeking a reliable and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join their team from January 2026.


HLTA | Role Overview:
  • Support teaching and learning across EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons during teacher absence or PPA cover

  • Work with small groups and support lesson preparation where needed

  • Help create a calm, supportive and inclusive classroom environment

HLTA | Person Specification:
  • Experience that meets HLTA standards

  • A 2:1 or above in Psychology, Education, or a related UK degree is preferred

  • At least one year’s experience as a TA or LSA in a UK primary school

  • Strong understanding of the primary curriculum

  • Experience supporting pupils with additional or varying needs

  • Confident managing a class and maintaining positive behaviour

  • Flexible, dependable and able to work well as part of a team
