The Role – RE Teacher As an RE Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, thought-provoking lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Encourage critical thinking, respectful discussion and exploration of different beliefs and worldviews.
- Create a purposeful and inclusive classroom environment where all pupils feel confident to contribute.
- Use assessment effectively to monitor progress and secure strong outcomes.
- Differentiate appropriately to support and challenge pupils of all abilities.
- Contribute to curriculum development within the Humanities department.
- Play an active role in wider school life, including enrichment and extracurricular opportunities.
- A structured and supportive ECT induction programme.
- A collaborative Humanities department with shared planning and strong leadership.
- Clear professional development pathways and opportunities for progression.
- Leadership that prioritises staff wellbeing and high-quality teaching.
- Engaged pupils who value discussion and academic challenge.
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Have strong subject knowledge across Religious Education at KS3 and KS4.
- Be confident in behaviour management and classroom leadership.
- Demonstrate the ability to foster respectful, balanced and informed discussion.
- Be committed to high standards of teaching, learning and pupil achievement.
- Show enthusiasm for contributing positively to the wider school community.
