Are you a high-achieving Science graduate with a minimum 2:1 degree, keen to gain paid school-based experience before potentially progressing into teacher training?
A well-regarded mixed secondary academy in North West London is seeking an ambitious and confident Science Tutor to support pupils across Biology, Chemistry and Physics from February 2026.
This Science Tutor role is well suited to graduates from a top 20–30 UK university who have prior tutoring experience and a strong academic background in Science. You will play a key role in raising attainment and supporting pupils up to GCSE level.

Science Tutor Role
- Deliver targeted one-to-one and small group Science support
- Support pupils across Biology, Chemistry and Physics
- Provide tailored GCSE intervention to close learning gaps
- Act as a positive role model, building confidence and engagement
- Work closely with teaching staff to raise attainment and outcomes
- Full-time, term-time only position within a secondary school
- Start date: February 2026
- Term-time only contract until June 2026
- Opportunity to extend into the next academic year for high-performing Science Tutors
- Clear progression route into teacher training
- Graduate with a minimum 2:1 degree from a top 20–30 UK university (preferred)
- Strong academic background in Science
- Experience tutoring Science up to GCSE level (essential)
- Confident, professional and reliable in a school setting
- Passionate about supporting pupils academically
- Excellent classroom experience ahead of teacher training
- Work within a supportive and well-structured Science department
- Develop key skills in behaviour management and academic intervention
